Question: (config) where is "*" and "..." are acceptable?

I don't really understand where in cfg the "magic" values such as glob ("*") or "..." are acceptable.

Is it ok to use it like this:

"auto_install_extensions": { "*": false, "...": false },
"auto_update_extensions": { "*": false, "...": false },

?
