There is no such functionality out of the box, but it is possible to implement it in a plugin.

@dmaluka: could it be implemented in a plug in to just add switches to the existing functions?
Currently, there are two flags, -a: « Replace all occurrences at once » and -l: « Do a literal search instead of a regex search ». Could a third, -g: « search globally in all the opened documents » be added thru a plugin?

No, plugins cannot add new flags to existing commands. You'd need to create a new command (using MakeCommand() as documented in help plugins). Name it e.g. greplace.
