  • Remove deprecated testing dependency istanbul-instrumenter-loader for babel-plugin-istanbul
  • Update ESLint to v8
  • Adds support for ECMAScript 2023
  • react-hooks warning not resolved because it hasn't been updated in years, and though it was at one point partially integrated into the React testing library, not much has been done for React 18 support and tests fail. Optionally, reverting to React 17 solves these warnings.
