Brief notes:

• This is written from the perspective of EU (open) Data Spaces, looking at integration with TREs. It proposes an architecture for this
• There are good sequence and C4 diagrams outlining how TREs may interact with external data spaces and metadata catalogues
  • A local "TRE Dataspace connector" mediates the flow of metadata (out) and data (in).
  • Is there provision for IG approval? Yes - via the "Request Broker"

Questions:

• Is this a use case we are likely to support?
• Can this framework be reused for TRE-TRE federation? Perhaps with a "virtual" Data Space containing only metadata of each connected TRE?
• How does the suggested architecture compare with SATRE?
  • E.g., can the "Metadata Search and Discovery Application" be hosted outside the TRE?
