No files shown in the Downloads tab

I downloaded the files from the target device multiple times but they were not displayed in the device. My data was used the files were getting transferred from target device to my machine but it did not show up. Judging from the spike up in the network speed I can tell that the commands work but as the speed dropped in between I can say that the files did not get fully downloaded. I've checked multiple times if there was some issue with the network it was not so. I was downloading the msgstore file of nearly 45 mb from my phone. I can download images and all but not files bigger than that. I think the application is not able to keep connection for download for more than a few seconds. Please help me and tell me if I am wrong.
