How balanced is this mod? #1

Hey, creator of this mod here. This is a place for everyone (with a GitHub account) to provide feedback on the default balance of this mod. If I receive feedback on this topic via other channels, I'll try to copy it here.
Obviously, everyone can tweak things to their liking using the mod config file. But what are some reasonable defaults? Did you like the mod as it came out-of-the-box, or did you end up tweaking things for your server?
