This bug is over a year old. I submit it here today because until yesterday, it was possible to work around this bug by using an older version of kDrive (kDrive-3.6.11.20250415-amd64). But yesterday, the older version stopped doing anything else than showing a notification saying that it was "not supported any more". So I downloaded the current version (kDrive-3.7.10.1-amd64), but then ran into the exact same bug I ran into multiple times with multiple versions of kDrive last year. So here is the description of my environment and what goes wrong:
- I am on Linux, last year I ran into the bug on Ubuntu XFCE, this year on Linux Mint XFCE
- I have downloaded kDrive, given it the required permissions, started the app, logged into my account and configured a synchronization with an SSD connected to my desktop computer via USB
- First time around, the sync works
- After shutting down the desktop PC over night, booting up on the next day and starting the kDrive app again, the app starts, but the synchronization gets paused immediately and cannot be un-paused
Expected behavior would be that the kDrive app in general and the kDrive synchronization specifically does something else than being paused indefinitely. Something useful such as synchronizing files.
