Adding http authentication to the proxied apps/sites would be super useful ! I manually edited some of my nginx proxy configuration files to enable this but I feel the implementation into nginx manager could be straightforward !

That's what Access Lists are within the UI.

Can the Access List be made to show forms based auth instead of basic http auth so it can work with password managers?

I guess it's possible with a custom authentication mechanism and some special nginx magic. Maybe someone has done this before, specifically showing authentication pages for conditions outside of upstream proxying.

Mhhh, it looks like in the community there is a trend for using Authelia.
Maybe a way to implement the docs for nginx as portal in the access list instead of the http auth. This docs (I suppose) supports more services than Authelia because it seems very similar to Organizr docs
