This issue is unique.

  • I have used the search tool and did not find an issue describing my bug.

Operating System

Linux

Architecture

x86_64

Package Type

flatpak

Version information

9.2.1

Expected Behavior

I created a custom style called mTitle: centered, 0" on all the spacings, line spacing 'multiple' and 2 (doublespaced).

I set it to have a 'Page break before' (in Show advanced settings) and Paddings > Top: 3"

You have to use Paddings and not Paragraph spacing if you want the page break to occur before the space.

It all works and is nice and I 'Update from selection'. I use this for manuscript development because Chapter titles need to be page broken and then shifted down roughly 1/3rd of the page.

Actual Behavior

I found that if I change the style for that mTitle text to something else, and then revert back to mTitle … the 3" padding setting is lost and changed to 0.33"

I tried 2" and it also gets switched to 0.33"

Is there some maximum that you can save a Padding? This seems like a bug.

????

Reproduction Steps

  1. Highlight a short line of text.
  2. Create custom style via arrow down > New style from selection
  3. Paragraph settings > Show advanced settings …
  4. Line & page breaks > turn on Page break before
  5. Paddings > Top: 3"
  6. Right click on that custom style and 'Update from selection'
  7. Change the style of that line of text (ie. click on another style)
  8. Change back to the custom style by clicking on it
  9. The Padding setting changes to 0.33"
