Yesterday I was using Windows11 24h2, which was down because of KB5063878 (don't mind). I reinstalled the OS (still Windows11 24h2) just now, and it seems the exe works fine. I will try again tomorrow.

There is no malicious code/libraries used, so I'm pretty sure it is a false-positive. It is a common issue with EXE files created with PyInstaller

Hi,

I just had something similar pop up for the newest version (1.4.1), again windows defender, but this time detected as 'Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.H!ml'

Yeah, I'm not sure if I can reliably fix it. This exe application is created by pyinstaller and uses cryptography libraries to decode data from Xiaomi API. Unfortunately this seems to be enough to trigger some automatic virus detectors 🤷‍♂️

Yea fair enough - perhaps then it's just a warning in the readme.md then to say it could happen, and maybe how to ensure you have a good version?
