this code actually triggered the bug :-

number = random.randint(1, 10)

for i in range(3):
user = int(input("Guess the number (1-10): "))
if user == number:
print("Hurray! You guessed the number right, it's {number}.")
break
else:
print("Wrong guess. Try again!")

else:
print("Sorry, you've used all attempts. The number was {number}.")

Expected behavior

no bug should be present

This issue was already fixed (see #1306). Please upgrade to the 2.3.5 version of PSReadLine from PowerShell Gallery.
See the upgrading section for instructions. Please let us know if you run into the same issue with the latest version.
