Check marks not automatically removed when another recurrence cycle starts

I learned from the help text that the check marks will be automatically removed after the next due date, but after trying it, I found that this is not the case. I have to manually remove the check marks every time. This issue occurs on my Android 15 device.

Hello @AilurusRP , the app marks all recurring tasks as undone if the last deadline day has completely passed and the done date falls on the last deadline day or an earlier date.
Unfortunately it is hard to say when the code runs that does this... There is no time interval to do that. Instead this check runs every time a task gets changed. This includes the trigger of an alarm. So at the moment I would say the latest point in time for this action is when the alarm for the next due date gets created.

In general it is hard to say what is the best point in time to set it to undone. Imagine a weekly task. Last due date was the 10. and it was marked as done at 9.. Next due date will be the 17..
When is the best date to set it to undone? The 11.? The 16? In the middle?
I think the current implementation will set it to undone somewhere between 11. and 17. (in this example).

The current implementation only works if a reminder is configured for a task. This is a bug. I will see what I can do to fix it.

I had a similar problem, but specifically with tasks involving subtasks.

This may be linked to a task not staying marked as done if I only set it to done with the "main" checkmark and not set each subtask to done individually.
It seems like there is no recursion into the subtasks if the progress is set directly.
