Rooms for remaining links emptied after unlink

I'm running 3b0638b against synapse 1.32.2, and when I type unlink N in the control room (to disconnect from a Slack workspace I am no longer interested in), this happens in all the remaining rooms:

The bridge is one of the "people" that left. The room gets recreated with empty history when the next message from slack arrives.

To be clear: I had expected that the remaining rooms would just continue to exist undisturbed.
