File reader

A GUI app that reads the contents/text of any file. Including photos, videos, audio, etc.

Download/Installation

You can download a version in the releases page.

Opening the exe in the zip folder (Windows only)

1. Download and unzip the zip folder called File-reader.zip
2. Open the exe file in the unzipped folder
3. If you get a pop-up saying the exe might be a virus
   • Click "More info"
   • Click "Run anyway"

This is not a virus, so it is safe to install.

Opening the jar file (Any operating system)

You need an openJDK installed on your device to open the jar file. Here are a couple ones to choose:

• Amazon Correto
• Azul Zulu
• Eclipse Adoptium
• IBM Semeru Runtimes
• Microsoft's openJDK
• Oracle GraalVM
• Oracle Java SE
• Red Hat's openJDK
• SapMachine

Once you installed an openJDK, download the jar file and open it.
