• Verse block: Add background image and minimum height support. (62498)

General

• Make sure all screenshots are relevant to the latest version
• Make sure videos, if any, are up to date
• Add ALT tags for the images
• Make sure the headings are in sentence case
• Convert all reusable blocks to a ‘regular block’.
• Update the changelog at the end of the article

Notes

1. We are not adding detailed updates for the Block settings - Typography, Color, Layout, Dimension and Border and for the More Options setting in the block toolbar. Pls mention the settings included for the block and link to the detailed settings pages instead.
2. Some of the PRs have great videos that can be added to the article.

Here are the updated images and text updates including border support details

• Verse block: Add background image and minimum height support.

Background Image

Background image settings allow you to enhance the visual appeal of a block by adding a custom background image by uploading or from media library. You can control its focal point, positioning, repeat behaviour, and size (such as cover, contain, tile) to ensure it fits well within the design.

Dimensions

Dimension controls allow you to adjust the spacing and layout of blocks by modifying values such as padding, margin. These settings help control how groups of blocks are positioned relative to one another.

Additionally, the minimum height setting ensures a block maintains a specific height regardless of its content, providing consistency in design and layout across different screen sizes.

Border

Border settings allow you to customize the appearance of block borders by adjusting properties such as border width, style (solid, dashed, dotted, etc.), and color.

Also, you can control border radius to create rounded corners for a softer look. These settings help define block separation, enhance visual hierarchy, and improve overall design consistency.

Transform to

Click on the “Transform” button to convert the Verse block into a “Paragraph”, “Columns”, “Details” or “Group” blocks.

Typography

Typography settings provide control over a block’s text appearance, allowing you to adjust the font, size, weight, and line height for better readability. Additionally, you can modify letter spacing, text decoration, orientation, letter casing ( uppercase, lowercase, or capitalized ) to enhance text styling within your design.

Advanced

• Make sure videos, if any, are up to date.
