[BUG] sync problem and deleting android databas

Describe the bug

I've recently changed from linux desktop as a client to linux desktop to server.
I synced the system to ensure everything was up to date
My linux desktop is now the server and the android is now the client.
When I sync data, the android does not update correctly
server debug logs say the sync completed
client debug logs show sync is occurring, but I can't confirm completed as the client crashed when saving the log.
I'd like to re-initialise the the android and try a sync again, how do I delete the android database?
When I uninstall the the app and re-install, I still see the old records.

Thank you for the detailed report and logs. We have analyzed the issue and identified the root cause of the crash and the persistence of data.

Root Cause Analysis

1. Sync Crash: The logs indicate that the sync process successfully receives data but crashes during the "accumulation" phase. The current implementation attempts to hold all incoming pages (in your case, ~10,000 records across 196 pages) in memory before processing them. On mobile devices with limited heap size, this causes an OutOfMemoryError or a watchdog timeout, leading to the crash.
2. Data Persistence: Android's "Auto Backup" feature (android:allowBackup="true") automatically restores your app data (including the database) when you reinstall the app. This is why uninstalling and reinstalling didn't clear your old records.

Action Plan

We are implementing a comprehensive fix:

1. Refactored Sync Logic: We are changing the sync engine to process data in batches (streaming) rather than accumulating everything in memory. This will allow the app to sync arbitrarily large datasets without crashing.
2. Reset Database Feature: We are adding a "Reset Database" button in Settings -> Advanced. This will allow you to completely wipe the local database and start fresh without needing to uninstall or clear app storage manually.
3. Disable Auto Backup: We will disable android:allowBackup to ensure that a clean install is truly clean.

Workaround

Until the update is released, you can clear the database on Android by going to:
Android Settings -> Apps -> WHPH -> Storage -> Clear Storage / Clear Data.
This is more effective than uninstalling because it explicitly wipes the local data container.

We will update this thread once the fix is merged.
