@JimMadge i just did a quick search and this link

https://allcontributors.org/bot/configuration/ is now broken, but it's registered with Google, and others might use it. Could we redirect that now to the /en/ directory so it's not broken?

We can do. What does registered with Google mean?

I slightly reluctant for a couple of reasons,

• All paths (except for the index) have moved from / to /en. So, in principle we would have to add a rule for every page. We can't use a wildcard because it would be recursive / -> /en/ -> /en/en/ -> /en/en/en/ ...
• Previously all pages were at /docs/<locale>/. Serving things at / only started when we migrated to Astro/Starlight. So my guess would be there are not so many of those URLs about. The older URLs should correctly redirect with the existing rules.

When I do a search the old url sans /en comes up and it returns a 404. Could we create a custom 404 page perhaps with a message?
