Downloaded from Aur on Arch Linux. When recording mouse movements and clicks do not get recorded, but keyboard inputs are still recorded.

1. Start recording
2. Click around the screen and move mouse around
3. End recording
4. No mouse clicks or movement shown on playback

Hi @AsianMan-DN, thanks for the detailed report.

It looks like CrossMacro is filtering out your mouse device because it doesn't match the strict detection criteria currently used (we check for specific event capabilities to distinguish real mice from other devices).

To help me identify why your specific mouse is being ignored, could you please run the following commands in your terminal and share the output here?

1. List input device capabilities (most important):
   sudo libinput list-devices

2. Kernel input device list:
   cat /proc/bus/input/devices

Please paste the output inside code blocks. This will help me adjust the detection logic to support your hardware.

Hi @AsianMan-DN,

I've released v0.9.2 with a new device detection system.

It now uses the kernel's own device handlers (like mouse1 shown in your logs) instead of strict capability checks. This should fix the detection issue for your Razer Basilisk V3 and similar devices.

Please give it a try and let me know if it works!

Hi @AsianMan-DN, I found the issue and have a fix ready.

Before releasing, could you run these commands and share the output?

sudo evtest /dev/input/event2
# Move mouse around and click left button, then press Ctrl+C

sudo evtest /dev/input/event3
# Same - move and click, then Ctrl+C

I need to see which device shows your mouse movements and clicks.

Hey @AsianMan-DN, thanks for all the logs and patience while we figured this out!

The daemon logs were really helpful here - without them, tracking down this issue would've been much harder. Thanks for enabling debug logging and sharing those outputs!

The issue was related to OpenRazer's udev rules changing device permissions, which caused those Errno: 13 errors. We've improved the device detection logic on our end, so this should no longer be a problem.

Looking at your latest logs, everything's working now:

• All 3 Razer Basilisk V3 interfaces detected (event18, 19, 20)
• Zero inaccessible devices
• Mouse movements and clicks coming through perfectly
