Description
For a number of use cases, one would prefer to have all downloaded files to be in the same directory without the internal directory structure it currently downloads, would be nice to be able to specify this preference with e.g. a keyword argument for the download_products method.
This issue came up as part of the fornax project, but has also mentioned in #2497 by @jdavies-st
