How can I configure SMTP for self-hosted solution?

I deployed the app via the Coolify template: https://github.com/coollabsio/coolify/blob/next/templates/compose/fizzy.yaml

But sending the verification emails does not work, I never receive any email. The API request to /session/magic_link succeeds with status code 200.

How can I configure the SMPT server?

UPDATE: I remembered that I have Claude Sonnet 4.5 😆 ( One of the best models in town) and I asked it to bypass this stage, so any code I enter will just work

And I also modified config/environments/production.rb and set config.assume_ssl and config.force_ssl to false because SSL was not working, it was breaking.

Of course this will not be ideal if you are installing it for many users or if you want it to work without tampering with any code.

SMTP_USERNAME/SMTP_PASSWORD are credentials you should get from your email provider.

Lastly, you'll need to set up the rest of your email configuration in config/environments/production.rb. There is an example configuration in comments at the top of that file. The actual settings you use here will depend on your email provider, but in most cases will look similar to that section, so you can uncomment it and edit to suit. Note that it will use the SMTP_USERNAME and SMTP_PASSWORD values you entered in your secrets.

Once you've made all those changes, commit them to your fork so they're saved.

• I tried them using GMAIL and it didnt work
• I tried Mailersend and it did not work.
• I also tried hardcording the values(in the picture) and it didn't

I suspect its likely a skill issue from my end :)

For now I am going to test it out then, If I really love it I am going to add it as a Web App from OMarchy

Hello ,

Tried this setting in local machine and seems working for SMTP emails.

Configure Action Mailer to send emails via SMTP.

1. Switched config.action_mailer.delivery_method to :smtp in the environment config
2. Added config.action_mailer.smtp_settings for Gmail (smtp.gmail.com, port 587, TLS, authentication plain)
3. Tested locally and confirmed that outgoing emails are successfully delivered via SMTP
