Long-term support? #1214
-
I personally use a programming langauge maintained by one man. This seems like the same. I'm looking into the possibility to use clojure everywhere in my web service. I could use clojurescript and clojure, but I am not fond of JVM, and libpython-clj feels clunky. If libpython-clj felt nice, I may use it. Using clojurescript only is also an option if nodejs ecosystem has libraries that I want. Does the maintainer plan to support this in the long term? Or, is it a learning project for him? If long-term support is viable, then I may try it in production because the maintainer says it is generally stable at this point. |

I guess I don't really know what you mean by "support". This is a side-project for me which does not generate any meaningful revenue. I have a full time job separate from this project as well as other hobbies and pursuits. Basilisp is something I have been working on for many years now continuously and it therefore holds an important place in my heart. I don't intend to abandon this project, but I have no guarantees about turnaround time for fixes or changes (nor even acceptance of fixes or changes by contributors). |
