Inputs and outputs data type

Hello everyone,
I am reviewing all the models to release a new version of deepimagej and deepicy and I have come accross some inconsistencies in the data type field of inputs and outputs.

Is the outputs data type the data type of the output of the model or the output of the post processing? For me the first makes the most sense but some models use it as the second:

For input tensors the data type refers to the input before preprocessing (and is the default for 'after preprocessing').
For output tensors the data type refers to the input after postprocessing (and is the default for 'before postprocessing').
If 'after preprocessing' or 'before postprocessing' requires another data type conversion, the ensure_dtype processing operator should be used.
