I always struggled with the implementation of "friendly loans". A lot of my expenses are made for me and someone else from which I expect a later refund.
I don't want to see the part that does not belong to me as a personal expense.
A special "friendly loans" off-budget account could work, but only if we can split an expense to a (categorized) transfer and a bucket. Even then, the "Transfer" information in the expense line would not be explicit enough.
I really much prefer to have a special "friendly loans" bucket (or even one bucket for each friend/spouse/family group), but I would like to be able to exclude these buckets from the budget calculations (mainly Income and Expenses).
