How to configure to hide the username and hostname on the left side of the status bar?

I finished configuring the tmux according to the configuration set -g status-left "" in the readme, but on the left side it still shows my username and hostname, how can I make it only show the current path?

That is not status-left, that is the window title. Whatever your shell is doing is setting that title.
