Download does not work on iPadOS 16

I guess it was #135 which introduced that the download now uses/opens a new tab instead of a redirect. However, this method does not work on iPadOS 16 (Safari).

On my iPhone, it worked. It asked for permissions to open the new tab, then asked if I want to download the ZIP.

Can not confirm this.
For me, it just worked (there was a popup asking if I want to open).
Tested on an iPad Air (4th gen) with iOS 16.
