[Feature Resquest] Add support for converting/optimizing ICO files

I frequently download images from the internet in webp format and would like to use them as icons for Windows folders or other applications. However, ICO is the standard format for icons on Windows, and Mazanoke currently does not support converting or optimizing ICO files.

I would like to request that Mazanoke adds support for converting/optimizing ICO files. This would allow users to easily convert their images to ICO format and use them as icons without having to use a separate tool.

Use case:

• Download an image from the internet in webp/png format.
  

• Open Mazanoke and select the image.
  

• Convert the image to ICO format
  

• Use the ICO image as an icon for a Windows folder or other application.
  

Benefits:

• Users can easily convert their images to ICO format without having to use a separate tool.
  

• Mazanoke can provide a one-stop solution for image optimization and conversion.
  

• Users can take advantage of the benefits of using ICO files, such as smaller file sizes and better compatibility with Windows applications.
  

Expected behavior:

• Mazanoke should allow users to select ICO as an output format when converting images.
  

• Mazanoke should optimize ICO files for size and quality, just like it does for other formats.
  

• Mazanoke should provide options for customizing the ICO conversion process, such as selecting the icon size and color depth.
  

Thank you for considering this feature request. I believe that adding support for ICO files would be a valuable addition to Mazanoke and would make it an even more useful tool for users.

I think it should be doable. Not all browsers natively support decoding ICO though, so I'll see what libraries are readily available and suitable to integrate.

@dhuesca I have an early build for testing if you're interested.

As I don't have a Windows machine readily available, I'd love to get some feedback. I've tested it with a friend so far, and for that limited sample rate, it worked.

1. Download: mazanoke-dev-2025-06-02.zip (Edit: updated with newer version)
2. Unzip and launch the app by opening the index.html file.
3. In "Convert to" option, select "ICO".
4. Test with any supported input image file type (as listed in the drop zone).

The thumbnail images currently only display if the image dimension is 256px or below, due to how ICO works. Will fix this later.
