glzr-io/glazewm#169 gives reasons why Windows native Virtual Desktops can be useful in in conjunction with Window Managers. And other apps make good use of VDs, like wProjectDesktop.
Whim's current implementation is quite compatible with Virtual Desktops already. Which makes a great advantage in the ecosystem because:
