For IPV6 addresses, are we matching all kinds of IPV6 notations or just the full IPV6 address expanded notation?

Mixed IPv6 - IPv4 mapping	::ffff:192.0.2.128

@mwojtyczka I do have a PR WIP for this, but based on the complexity of IPV6 addresses, and the regex manipulations, I am starting to think a better option might be to use the built-in IPaddress module in Python, as it seems to handle this better.

The only issue is that this will have to be a UDF, but it handles IPs better than the regex.

I was thinking of using ipaddress but performance is critical. I really don't want to use udfs.
