I'm particularly interested in this for the use case of capturing logging scopes at the time an exception is thrown and then enriching the logs. For this use case, there's an existing Serilog implementation here and I have written a (closed-source) Log4Net implementation. I've also written a generic ILogger implementation here, but note how awkward it is to use when compared with logging frameworks that support registered enrichers.

@tarekgh @noahfalk I assume we have to adjust the milestone for this issue to push out from 8.0 as we are now planning on doing this in the dotnet/extensions layer for now?
