LAMMPS installation sometimes fails when building documentation?

We can disable the docs build via -DBUILD_DOC=off (cfr. #11577)

I've hit this issue today and it is not the same as #12373 (LAMMPS-3Mar2020_fix-docs-build.patch does not solve it). Not building the docs does solve this issue and #12373.
