I pulled out optree into a new PR as I also need it in an EC. And I made it use the PyPI source which makes it a bit simpler.
Can we use that?

We decided that having this version of PyTorch merged upstream in 2023a is of little value. For those interested, these easyconfigs will continue to be available in the vsc-software-stack repo.
