It's intended to be MIT licensed. Before the reorganisation, it inherited the license file from the containing folder. |
Thank you for the quick response, and getting a response from the original author makes this a lot easier. Anyways the Original source code on gna ( svn web viewable link ) and the first commit on this git (see: I did take a chance to look at the original source repository for the first commit for this Repository ( See: 03a406d ) is the whole reason for this... Is there any chance to get a commit on this and a few other repositories clearly stating the license? |
I probably won't have a chance to get to this until the weekend, but if you want to send a pull request that adds the license file (ideally one that adds per-file licenses / copyright headers) with an MIT or 2-clause BSD license then I'll happily merge it. |
I got the changes completed. I went ahead and wrote the changes against MIT license, and identified all of the contributors to this project... In general the overall COPYING file looks like this...
Also, I added Copyright headers to all the files, and I wanted to find out on how I should handle the patches... Should I use a single all in one patch, two patches ( One for the Copying File, and another to add the per-file license headers ), or multiple patches ( One for the Copying file, and separate commits for each source/header file combination ) |
Both together is fine, thanks for doing this! |
I was looking at the various etoile projects and noticed that this project does not mention a specific license. Is there any chance to add a License file stating what the intended license of this project is?
