Setting DYLD_IN_CACHE to 0 should be more efficient than disabling the whole shared cache.

DYLD_SHARED_REGION controls how dyld utilizes the shared cache for system dynamic libraries (dylibs). Setting it to avoid removes the shared region from the process address space, causing all system dylibs to be loaded individually.

DYLD_IN_CACHE on the other hand, should only prevent dyld from using the shared cache for its own internal components (For reference: https://github.com/apple-oss-distributions/dyld/blob/main/dyld/dyldMain.cpp).
