Resuming maintenance

first things first: Thanks for conceiving and maintaining this excellent library. We are using it in LorryStream, and love it so much, because no other library modulo the KCL has been including all the relevant features for us.

We see that development on your async-kinesis library stalled four years ago, while an alternative you've outlined in YETANOTHER.md, async-kinesis-client, already stalled six years ago.

You've probably moved on to other endeavours. However, do you see a chance to resume maintenance in one way or another, possibly by looping in other volunteers?

we would like to express another round of kudos for resuming maintenance of your package so excellently, and for merging the patches we submitted the other day. 💯

We are using the library successfully to tap into Kinesis streams from CrateDB Toolkit, most prominently to receive data from AWS DMS, in order to converge it into CrateDB.

Relay an AWS DMS data stream from Amazon Kinesis into CrateDB using a one-stop command ctk load table kinesis+dms:///....
