ENOENT Thrown Because pear-runtime.exe is never downloaded.

On Windows, pear run pear://runtime throws ENOENT because pear-runtime.exe is never downloaded. There are no GitHub releases. Is there an official fallback or manual download option?

@dafiriscott thank you for submitting an issue. I have a few questions so we can prevent this from happening in the future.

First how did you install pear? Was it via npm i -g pear? And was there any warnings or errors when you installed?

Do you have a stack trace for the error that you can share?

Installing via npm i -g pear is the recommended method. The Pear runtime bootstraps itself updating to the current version.

Finally can you try running npx pear run pear://runtime?
