Remove ilab from the e2e tests

PR #656 bumps the version of numpy being used, however this version is still being used by ilab. Unfortunately, our e2e test workflows rely on ilab, so this version bump indirectly breaks our e2e tests. 

To resolve this, we should update our e2e tests to not use ilab anymore, porting all relevant tests over to training.
