IPFS enables the creation of completely distributed applications. It aims to make the web faster, safer, and more open. Since that’s a pretty large scope, we track development across the ecosystem in this weekly dispatch.

+## Meet Brian Hoffman
+
+The next guest presenter at the IPFS Weekly Call is [Brian Hoffman](https://twitter.com/brianchoffman). Brian began OpenBazaar when he forked the open source code from the 2014 Toronto Hackathon award winning DarkMarket, a decentralized Bitcoin marketplace, and went on to raise $1M from notable VCs Union Square Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz to found [OB1](https://ob1.io/).
