Please consider backporting 47473c0 to the v10 branch.

I know the best path forward would be updating node-glob to latest version in my project, but this is not always feasible to do as many projects have node-glob@10.x present in numerous places in their dependency tree, and it is still the most widely downloaded version on npm:
