mise-action rapidly fills up temporary directory

Over the last couple of days, we have observed that the mise-action causes a large accumulation of mise-bin-backup directories that are nested many levels (see video).

In this particular case, the action accumulated 75GB of data in the temporary directory over the span of 20 hours.

Since the issue only started to occur in the last couple of days, I assume it's related to the 3.6.0 release.

Yeah, same issue here.

The related cause was reverted in #364 and released in 3.6.1 so this shouldn’t be happening anymore.

I've pushed a new PR reinstating the old working_directory-specific caching with the fix from @ffittschen if you want to try it to ensure it works for your use-case.
