This doesn't fix the bug, but it should help us detect when it hits and exactly which bit of the vSphere API unexpectedly returned null.
This brings the vSphere plugin closer to the appearance of the opestack-plugin.

Added log messages to assist with debugging JENKINS-54521.
Made slave page UI use same GUI rendering as the openstack plugin uses, as that's much nicer.
