I was wondering wether lazygit can sign tags similar to how it work on commits?

you can tell git to do that

git config tag.forceSignAnnotated true

I think the default is not to sign (pass -s to git tag) for the T shortcut

Yes it is possible! My recommendation is to set git config tag.gpgSign true and then:

git:
  overrideGpg: true

inside your LazyGit config, if you have something like gpg-agent that means you do not need to re-enter credentials every time you create a tag. If you don't have this enabled, we have to send you off to a subprocess every time, which can be quite disruptive

While this was possible previously, #4394 brought tag signing up to the standard of commit signing.
