Cronicle Job Scheduling Behavior with Primary and Backup Instances

I have a Cronicle setup with both Primary and Backup instances. I am running my jobs on the Primary group. My question is: does the scheduling algorithm automatically select an active instance for execution? In other words, will it ignore instances that are down?

I just have one Primary and one Backup

Yes, if your event is targeted to run on a group (not an individual server), then Cronicle will select a server in that group to run the job. You can also select an algorithm to use for selecting which server in the group. And yes, a server has to be online and connected to the cluster in order to be selected to run a job.
