That setting just creates the CNAME file for you afaik -- a lot of folks have deployment workflows etc. so we give the guidance of creating the CNAME file (rather than using the setting), so they are aware of the file and ensure their workflows persist/create it.

I#m having a hard time to see how this is related to JavaScript that would make qualify for subdomain. the project as a whole looks just like a renamed fork of TurboWarp. I think you should look at one of these services: free-for.dev -> Domain
