I am a creator, maker, photographer, programmer, classically trained vocalist, intermittent chef, one-time gardener, air plant cultivator, casual knitter, and fledgling synth nerd. I am tolerated by a cat and three kittens who continue to let me live with them.
I am a core development team member with the BeeWare project, where I focus on improving the documentation and information architecture. I have orchestrated a complete shift of the documentation backend from Sphinx to MkDocs, as well as moving the website from Lektor to MkDocs. I am working on building a community around the project by, among other things, making contributing more approachable through various changes in our contribution process. I'm very excited about the future of BeeWare.
I am passionate about learning new things, creating thorough documentation, and sharing what I know and learn. You can find project builds, tech tutorials, and approachable information here on GitHub, and on my blog.
I am the Conference Chair for PyOhio 2026. Keep an eye out here for updates.
I spent 2017-2023 as an open source community manager, mentor, technical writer, embedded software developer, library manager, and intermittent embedded hardware designer working with Adafruit on the CircuitPython project.
I am sponsored on GitHub by amazing folks who enable me to further share my knowledge. Find out more about why you should sponsor me.
