HTTPS Connection Setting

Hi,
I mostly use Kodi to connect to TVMosaic in my home network but I occasionally connect remotely. I have reverse SSL proxy set up and working on all my servers/devices however the plugin only connects using HTTP therefore my credentials are not being set securely. Is it possible to update the plugin to have a checkbox whether to use HTTP or HTTPS?
