We do have some beta APIs, implementations, etc. Should we somehow articulate these details?

I would leave it as is. there are many projects that are GAed and are still adding new APIs in phased approach from alpha to beta and v1.
the most notable one is K8s itself which is GAed, but still adds new APIs every version.
these new APIs are documented in website and inferred from their apiVersion.
