Admin - Custom Admin Path - Underscore characters not allowed

Stores > Configuration > Advanced > Admin > Admin Base URL - Use Custom Admin Path = Yes

The Custom Admin Path field has some UI validation preventing underscores from being added to the custom admin path.

Verified the issue on Magento 2.4-develop branch and the issue is reproducible.
As per official Magento docs example given for Custom Admin Path is having underscore in it but the message on UI clearly says no other characters allowed. Due to this discrepancy, confirming this issue.
