Issues Installing on steamdeck

Hello, trying to install this on my steam deck (really avoiding more joystick purchases)

I am getting the following error:

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Try to add C++ essential packages

sudo apt update 
sudo apt install build-essential

Then, check if you have installed g++
g++ --version

Then try to run Make again

make clean  
make BUILD=RELEASE
