Your error is quite weird to me, I wouldn't expect such an issue, especially because we have tests for that case. Like this https://github.com/meilisearch/meilisearch-java/blob/main/src/test/java/com/meilisearch/sdk/SearchRequestTest.java#L197

What happens when you run:

SearchRequest = ....
request.toString(); // what is the result of this?

Can you give me more information about your usage? Like, which Json handler are you using, and any other things that may be useful.

Can you try to use another JsonHandler? And can you try to remove the sort and set a different param to see if you have only a problem with the sort or this is showing for every other param that requires an array like attributesToRetrieve, attributesToCrop.

Plus, nonetheless can you tell me which java version are you using and which jackson handler version as well?

@brunoocasali i use default JSON handler 'gson' try again , if do other parameter is OK but use array like ".setAttributesToRetrieve(new String[] {"bubble"})
.setAttributesToHighlight(new String[] {"highlight"})
.setAttributesToSearchOn(new String[] {"searchOn"})
.setAttributesToCrop(new String[] {"crop"})" will be exception
