What is the future of Detours' versioning plans?

The last and only release tag for Detours was created in 2016 - 9 years ago - and hasn't been updated since. This is the REF tag that vcpkg uses for Detours. On top of many changes & improvements being made since then, I can't even get arm64 to work locally using the 4.0.1 release. Is it safe to say that this release should be left behind in the dust and that package managers such as vcpkg should be updated to use a commit off main?

I've always used --head with vcpkg for detours, though I agree this is very unideal

Does vcpkg support something like --head with manifest mode? Or are overlay ports the expected way to handle something like this?

In any case, I'm mostly asking this question because I want to update the port to use a recent commit hash, but I want to get a maintainer's "blessing" before doing so.

Ah yeah, you'd have to use a custom port I think unfortunately. I do wish there'd be a new release as well.
